What is The Uncommon Collector?
The idea behind The Uncommon Collector is to help you create the kind of home that inspires you to live creatively and comfortably and to want to share your home with others. I believe homes should be personal havens that reflect your style and needs and my services will help you achieve that goal. Starting with individual rooms, we will work with furniture you currently have on hand as well as discuss additional pieces you need to complete a space.
We will also discuss area rugs, lighting, accessories and any gaps you may have standing between you and a room you love. If needed, I can create a shoppable private Pinterest page for shopping ideas and inspiration specifically for your space.
Finally, I will style vignettes for your bookshelves, coffee tables, chest of drawers, etc and I will teach you how to create them so you feel confident in your abilities to style them yourself.
How It Works
Once you contact me, we will schedule a time for a one-hour consultation on a single room in your home. It can be a living room, den, entry, bedroom or kitchen. Usually, one-hour is plenty of time to discuss goals and to potentially start moving furniture around, if necessary, to help with function and flow.
Location
Your home. I recommend focusing on one room at a time. We will look at the house as a whole to make sure our end result is cohesive focusing on one room at a time will allow us to fully create something unique to you and a space that serves your needs.
Cost
My hourly rate is $60. If travel outside a 35 mile radius of my home is required, there is an additional charge of $25. My success will be measured in the feeling you get when you walk into your home. With the highest praise being when you walk into your home, you think to yourself, I love my home and I am so happy to be here.
